The first Hyatt hotel in mainland China opened in 1986 in the northern Chinese coastal city of Tianjin, neighbouring Beijing. Hyatt Regency Tianjin was the first international hotel in Tianjin and became a prestigious city landmark for more than two decades, until the building closed in 2009 for redevelopment. In 2014, Hyatt made a triumphant return to Tianjin with the opening of an exciting new contemporary landmark – Hyatt Regency Tianjin East.

Hyatt Regency Tianjin East forms part of the fast-developing commercial hub connecting downtown Tianjin and the booming business district of Tianjin Binhai New Area. Hyatt Regency Tianjin East is part of a mixed-use development project conveniently located south of Weiguo Road, a main road to the eastern part of Tianjin. As a truly extraordinary destination in this area, the hotel is within 20 minutes of the airport and 10 minutes of downtown, with easy access to the airport and the TEDA, Dongli, Beichen, Wuqing and Xiqing industrial zones. It is also close to Tianjin Line 2 and 5 Metro Station and Tianjin Main Railway Station, a regular stop for high-speed train services from around China, including the Tianjin-Beijing line that takes just 28 minutes to reach the Chinese capital.

The Regency Club comprises six floors of exclusive accommodation from the 20th to 25th levels. Regency Club guests enjoy exclusive access to the stunning Regency Club Lounge on level 24, offering complimentary afternoon refreshments and evening cocktails, use of the Regency Club boardroom, plus express check-in/out and dedicated Receptionist and Concierge services. The designed double-height space also features an open kitchen and an outdoor roof terrace.

The 750 sqm Regency Ballroom features 8.5-metre-high ceilings and a smart design enhanced with natural light. It is an impressive venue for weddings and grand events of up to 420 (banquet) or 800 (cocktail) guests.

The Residence is a multi-functional art space next to the lobby featuring four naturally-lit function rooms with a central break-out courtyard offering a barista bar and wine library. Three Regency Rooms on the second floor are ideal for boardroom conferences or intimate events and include private social spaces.
