We have come a long way, but this is really just the beginning.
Our story unfolds in two parts; one in China, and the other in Singapore. Established in 2006, 1000Meetings was founded in Shanghai by Julien Delerue, our Founding and Managing Partner. The value proposition was to help companies and meeting planners find meeting venues in a cost effective and time-saving manner.
Fast forward fifteen years to 2020, more than 5,000 corporates have been using the 1000Meetings solution to connect and successfully source for their meetings. We are strategic marketing partners with some of the largest chain and independent hotels in the world such as IHG, Hilton, Accor, Hyatt, Marriott and Shangri-la. And we have also set up our first Asia Pacific hub in Singapore to bring our solution closer to corporates and hotels in the rest of the Asia Pacific region.
Our original value proposition has not changed, and that has always been to match the right meeting to the right venue in the most cost effective and time efficient way. We want to be the preferred solution for corporates and the trusted partner for hotels.
In 2022, we brought our procurement and marketing services to the Virtual & Hybrid meetings & events space where we aim to also deliver the same value to all our partners.
As we said in the beginning, our journey has just started, and we are definitely here to stay.
