Hotel presentation
Trotting the world or hopping from the mainland. Revving up or winding down. Solo, as a couple, or with friends and family.
Global nomads seek destinations that are as distinctive and open-minded as they are. That's why they're drawn to Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort. This flagship resort by Pullman, located on the island's southwest coast just 10 minutes from the airport, is tailor-made for those in search of serious play and a playful place to work.
Opened in 2020, this vibrant eco-resort was designed for cosmopolitan travellers from the ground up. Spanish architect and urban planner Salvador Pérez Arroyo gave the hotel complex fluid lines and a kinetic whirl. From the air, the resort resembles a fish swimming towards the Gulf of Thailand: the side wings are the fins, the pool its body and the main building a fan tail.
This is no concrete jungle. Greenery or golden sand makes up 80% of the seven-hectare resort. At the western edge is a 150m stretch of Long Beach (Bai Truong), for the use of hotel guests and the occasional local fisherman. And beyond that, the endless sea and sky.
Inside the lobby, one space flows seamlessly into the next. Dark wood and curious artwork draw the eye to the impressive winding staircase and, then, an overhead passageway. The towering Lighthouse Bar shines as both a beacon and centerpiece. This is The Junction, a vibrant hub for co-working and co-playing, a welcoming space for savouring your welcome drink and other refreshments.
Because Pullman understands the pleasures of globetrotters, we have created 331 sophisticated rooms, suites, cabanas and a decadent pool villa. Each space features the latest in connectivity and technology, as well as a personal terrace or balcony for uplifting downtimes. Dining options range from Phu Quoc's finest steakhouse and a pop-up seafood restaurant to food carts that roam the resort.
At Pullman, kids have several places to call their own. Teenagers can chill out and make friends during activities designed just for them – no parents allowed. Adults get to plan their own agenda. Do everything under the sun or do nothing at all.
Along the southwestern coastline of Phu Quoc Island, Pullman has created a sophisticated playground for a new generation of global travellers. Your next adventure awaits.
Restaurant & Bars

Salt & Pepper – All day dining restaurant. Opening hours: Daily from 6 AM to 11 PM. Seating capacity: 310 guests.
Named after the spice blend found on practically every kitchen and table in Phu Quoc, Salt 'n' Pepper Restaurant is the place for all-day dining. The breakfast buffet offers an abundance of options. Take your pick from all the local, Asian and Western favourites diners expect, plus extras such as a chocolate fountain and interactive sushi-sashimi station. The Active Breakfast and Surprise Breakfast by Pullman also have their place in the spotlight. The rest of the day is devoted to à la carte dining. Always fresh and cooked to order.
Sea Stars – Vietnamese Sea Grill. Opening hours: 5 PM to 11 PM. Seating capacity: 26 guests.
Located under the night sky, Sea Stars is the resort's al fresco Vietnamese seafood grill. The interactive meal begins when you take your pick of the catches of the day – the chef then prepares it to your specification at the open kitchen. A fresh mixed salad is ideal for wrapping in rice paper and dipping in local condiments. The last course is equally hands-on and impressive. After wheeling a mobile station to your table, the dessert chef combines ingredients of your choice to produce a colourful masterpiece that literally sparks and blazes.
Mad Cow Wine & Grill – Opening hours: daily from 4:30 PM to midnight. Seating capacity: 120 guests.
Phu Quoc's best steakhouse inspires its guests to mix, mingle and tuck into succulent, freshly prepared grills. This restaurant is mad about damn-good meats and wines, all in a hip and casual environment. Maddie also serves up salads, tapas, sharing boards and decadent desserts so everyone leaves satisfied.
Lighthouse Bar – Opening hours: daily 24/7. Seating capacity: 80 guests.
Never closed, always aglow. Lighthouse Bar, set in the centre of The Junction lobby area, is open 24-hours to offer anytime hot drinks, creative cocktails and light bites. And because predictable is boring, the barista–bartender is happy to serve your beverage in a chocolate-lined cone, or to personalise a cappuccino or latte with your picture.
Coconutz Pool Bar – Opening hours: daily from 10 AM to 8 PM. Seating capacity: 100 guests.
Swim up or walk up, Coconutz is all about delicious fun and family-friendly treats. Natural sodas, local craft beers and ice cream creations are some of the featured menu items at this inviting pool bar. Guests like to gather around the comfy seats with drinks and snacks, or take them on floating trays and enjoy them in the water.
Beach House – Opening hours: daily from 8:30 AM to 10 PM. Seating capacity: 150 guests.
This casual beach bar with swimming pool exudes a free-spirited vibe from early until night. Mornings start with light drinks and bites. As the sun rises higher, so does the mood. An Asian tapas menu provides fuel for beach activities. Beer towers and fruit-infused cocktails are the beverages of choice for sundowners. After the sun goes down, the DJ's playlist rocks the house.

Surroundings
Phu Quoc is fast becoming an unrivalled destination in Southeast Asia. For starters, anyone of any nationality can visit visa-free, as Vietnam has classified the 22-island archipelago as a special economic zone. But more than that, the country's largest island is a tropical playground for inquisitive travellers in search of unique experiences. Discover beaches, a UNESCO-designated national park, the lively downtown, artisanal products, the world's longest cable car system and much more.
Hon Thom Cable Car:
The world's longest cable car system begins at the southern end of Phu Quoc, passes over a fishing harbour and two islands, and ends at Hon Thom (Pineapple Island) of the An Thoi archipelago. The departure terminal resembles Rome's Colosseum and houses a café and gift shop.
Fishing Villages:
From the time Phu Quoc was settled, fishing has been an integral part of life on the island. Ham Ninh, Rach Vem and other charming fishing villages dot Phu Quoc's shores. Beachfront eateries and floating restaurants offer up locally caught seafood for hungry explorers.
Fish Sauce Manufacturing:
Phu Quoc is known for its handcrafted nuoc mam, the pungent ingredient that adds incredible flavour to much of the country's cuisine. The island is home to many small manufacturers that produce fish sauce, made by fermenting layers of fresh anchovy and local salt.
Ridgeback Dog Centre:
Three types of ridgeback dogs exist in the world, and one of them comes from Phu Quoc. Ridgeback Dog Conservation Centres work to preserve this rare breed. Visitors can walk through the forest to see Phu Quoc Ridgebacks of all ages and discover what makes them unique.
Pepper Farms:
Peppercorns are one of Phu Quoc's top exports. This popular spice is grown, harvested and processed on small farms around the island. Tours are available. Farms offer tastings of a variety of flavoured salt-and-pepper blends that are found in almost every kitchen and restaurant dining room.
Rose Myrtle Products:
Sim (rose myrtle) grow only in a few places in Phu Quoc and Vietnam's mainland. A few decades ago, locals on the island started turning the berries into syrups, candies, jams and wines. Sim plantations run tours, including the chance to sample all the delicious products from this distinctive fruit.
Pearl Farms:
Phu Quoc is nicknamed Pearl Island, both for its natural beauty and because oysters thrive in the area's clear waters. Several pearl farms offer guided tours. Learn about local oysters, and then watch as craftspeople transform pearls and fossilised giant clam shells into works of art.
Duong Dong Town:
Duong (pronounced zoo-ong-dong) Dong is Phu Quoc's compact capital. Shops and restaurants line busy streets, while colourful boats fill the harbour. At the nearby pagoda, locals pray for fishermen's safety. The bustling Night Market is the place to sample street foods and shop for souvenirs.
An Thoi Archipelago Excursions:
Private boat tours offer a taste of the open waters. Go fishing for squid and other seafood, and then dine on your fresh catch the crew has cleaned and prepared. Island-hopping around the An Thoi Archipelago is also a favourite among snorkellers and divers on the lookout for marine life.
National Park:
Phu Quoc is fast becoming known for ecotourism, and one reason is its national park. This remote area in the island's north comprises both forested mountains and marine zones. In recognition of the fragile habitat for rare flora and fauna, UNESCO listed the park as a biosphere reserve in 2010.
