Surroundings

Xishuangbanna, which is meaning for “a place with dream and magic”.famous for the beautiful rainforest view and colorful folk-custom. It’s worth an adventure to the ethnic villages to full experience the exotic and charming Dai culture and customs. Xishuangbanna Virgin Forest Park is a national AAAA grade scenic spot, with “the best preserved tropical rainforest in the Tropic of Cancer”. This park is famous for the stunning view of virgin forest and the natural beauty of ethnic customs, including Peacock culture, Aini ethnic custom and other diversified minority cultures. It takes around 45 mins by car to get there from hotel. Manting Park, formerly Dai King Royal Court, has over 1300 years history. This national AAAA grade scenic spot has the memorial statue of the pre-Premier Zhou Enlai, ethic culture plaza, peacock garden, parngsvy lake, Buddhist culture district, tree planting area, Dai tea park and folk performance areas. It takes around 20 mins by car to get there from hotel. Wild Elephant Valley is a national AAAA grade scenic area and the only park in China to watch wild Asian elephants in safety. Several attractive spots, including Asian elephant breeding center, the Asian elephant observation area, wildlife viewing areas, folk cultural display area, bird garden, butterfly garden and other attractions, locate here. It takes around 1 hour by car to get there from hotel.
