W Barcelona is just steps from main attractions such as Old Town, the Born district, Old Harbour and the Barceloneta boardwalk, so explore on two feet and see more—the city is an open-air gallery of abstract, modernist, avant-garde and Catalan art, from public sculptures and murals to installations and architecture. For more far-flung flings, the Metro is an excellent underground subway system, efficiently well-connected to every corner of the city with easy signage. Taxis are also plentiful and reasonably priced and will take you from the hotel to the main shopping areas of Sagrada Familia and Passeig de Gracia in 10 minutes. Who thinks four wheels bad, two wheels good? Bicycle lanes allow you to ride like the wind in the heart of the city.Where to go? There's no better way to get to W Barcelona from Barcelona El Prat International Airport (BCN) than by taxi, whisking you to our doorstep in just 30 minutes. Barcelona is also serviced by regional airports Girona and Reus, 103 kilometres (64 miles) and 110 kilometres (68 miles) from the city respectively, where most European budget airlines fly to. It takes approximately 70 to 90 minutes by bus from these airports.
