Kuan Zhai Alley
Kuanzhai Alley is one of the three historical culture protection area of Chengdu, which consists of three parallel old streets: Kuan Alley (broad alley), Zhai Alley (narrow alley) and Jing Alley (means “water well” in Chinese) from Qing dynasty. These streets accommodate numerous ancient style buildings, local Chengdu life, delicious Sichuan snacks, exquisite Sichuan handicrafts, etc.  

People’s Park
Built in 1911, the People's Park is the first public park and always the locals’ favorite hangout spot in the city. It features the Heming Teahouse, one of the best known tea houses in the city, an artificial lake and several gardens.  

Jin Li
It is said that Jinli was the first commercial street of Shu Kingdom, and it now becomes a famous local snack street in Chengdu also lined by various stores selling Shu Embroidery, lacquer products, folk handicrafts, Chinese calligraphies and paintings.  

Temple of Marquis Wu
The temple was built in 223 AD and is dedicated to Zhuge Liang, a famous military strategist and the Marquis Wu of Kingdom Shu in the Three Kingdoms period. The temple highlights Zhuge Liang Memorial Temple and the Hall of Liu Bei, along with statues of other historical figures in Shu Han State.  

Wenshu Monastery
This Buddhist temple is the largest and the best-preserved Buddhist Monastery in Chengdu with a history over 1000 years. It is dedicated to Wenshu Pusa (Manjusri Bodhisatva), and displays more than 450 Buddha statues and other precious relics. The temple also has a delightful vegetarian restaurant and a charming tea house where you can find a local Chengdu life to experience.  

Dufu’s Thatched Cottage
Du Fu's thatched cottage is the former residence of Du Fu, the poet in Tang Dynasty. During nearly four years of his stay here, Du Fu composed more than 240 poems. It is now one of famous museum combined with memorial temple and celebrity’s old House as well as cultural temple with ancient-style architecture and tranquil garden.  

Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Located just 10 km away from downtown Chengdu city, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is famous for the protection and breeding of endangered wild animals that are unique to China, including giant pandas and red pandas.  

East Suburb Memory Park
In east Chengdu, the husks of old factory buildings are being revitalized and reinvented as East Suburb Memory Park. The renovated old factories are rustic in their design, which well suits the park theme of new music and new arts.
