Shangri-La Hotel, Shenyang will offer a total of 4,026 square metres of
space on two floors. On level two, the grand ballroom will be the largest of
its kind in northeast China. The 1,860-square-metre pillar-less ballroom will
have a 600-square-metre
pre-function area with floor-to-ceiling-windows and a 9-metre-high
ceiling.
Additional meeting facilities will include a 566-square-metre
ballroom and seven function rooms. All of the conference and function rooms feature state-of-the-art

Location & Access
The hotel is 20 kilometres (30 minutes by car without traffic) from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. It is a 20-minute drive to both Shenyang Station and Shenyang North Station, which connect Shenyang by high-speed and express trains to other key cities in China. The subway is only a five-minute walk away.

Palace
Shenyang Imperial
Palace has the earliest palace building of the Qing Dynasty that is still in
existence today. The palace construction was started in the 10th
year of the Tianming Period in the Houjin Dynasty (1625) and was completed in
the first Chongde in the Qing Dynasty (1636). Emperors Nurhach and Huang Taiji
had the palace built and made use of it. Covering an area of 60,000 square
metres, Shenyang Imperial Palace has over 90 buildings and 300 rooms. At the
centre is Chongzheng Hall, it can be divided into the eastern, the middle and
the western parts with the axis running from Daqing Gate to Qingning Palace. In
2004, it became a World Heritage Site.
North Tomb (Zhao
Mausoleum)
The Zhao Mausoleum is
in Beiling Park, the largest historical park in Shenyang. It is the mausoleum
of Emperor Huang Taiji, who is the eighth son of Emperor Nurhach and his
empress, Xiao Duan Wen Borjijite. As it is located in the north of Shenyang, it
is also called the Northern Mausoleum. Covering an area of 4.5 million square
metres, Zhao Mausoleum was the largest of the “three mausoleums outside the
Shanhaiguan Pass” before the Qing Dynasty entered the Pass. Throughout the park
are verdant trees and old pines reaching the sky with sequestered trees,
singing birds and fragrant flowers? In 2004, it became a World Heritage Site.
East Tomb (Fu
Mausoleum)
Situated in Dongling
Park in the eastern suburb of Shenyang, Fu Mausoleum is the mausoleum of Qing
Emperor Nurhach and his empress, Xiaoci Gao Yehenala. And it is located in the
eastern suburb of Shenyang; it is also called the Eastern Mausoleum. Facing the
Hun River and Mt. Tianzhu, the Fu Mausoleum covers an area of 194,800 square
metres and features abundant tall pines and huge buildings. Making use of the terrain,
the “108 Steps” symbolises the 36 Big Dippers and the 72 Earth Devils, and is
an important sign of the Fu Mausoleum. In 2004, it became a World Heritage
Site.
Xinle Relics
Located on the west
of Beiling Park, the Xinle Relics are part of a Neolithic Age site
Dating back 7,200 years, where an earlier matriarchy community in the
primitive society once lived. Among the relics, one piece of wooden artwork is
especially precious. Like a big bird, it is called the Sun Bird and was the
totem of the ancient ancestors.

Zhang’s Mansion (also called the Zhang Family General Museum) is the office and
residence of Marshal Zhang Xueliang, the son of Fengxi warlord, Zhang Zuolin.
It was built in 1914 and covers an area of 360,000 square metres,
Mount Qipanshan Scenic Spot
The Mount Qipanshan Scenic Spot is a
tranquil paradise surrounded by mountains and dotted with lakes. Its natural
attractions include three main hills, which are criss-crossed by dozens of
well-marked hiking trails, leading to view points and many scenic sites.
Highlights include Xiuhu Lake, where visitors are able to swim fish and sail on
boats during the summer and even ice skate in the winter months.
Shenyang Exhibition Botanical Garden
The Shenyang
Exhibition Botanical Garden is situated in the eastern suburbs of Shenyang. Its
construction dates back to 1959. The garden has over 1,000 kinds of ornamental
plants and eight special gardens such as the azalea garden. It also has more
than 30 amusement bridges, such as the simple and unsophisticated Feidu Bridge.
The distinctive rocks, the Star Amusement Park and other amusement facilities
make the Shenyang Botanical Garden a favourite scenic spot of Shenyang
residents.
