Shang Palace
With oriental elegant interior decor, the restaurant offers a commanding view of the Gulf of Beibu. It serves authentic Cantonese food along with Hunan and local dishes. Also, priorities: MSG and shark fins are off menu and table. It caters to banquets with a varied menu priced from expensive delicacies to cheaper snacks. Culinary events are promoted there from time to time.
Coffee Garden
Facing the hotel pool and surrounded by lush greenery, Coffee Garden serves a wide range of Western, Asian and Chinese dishes. The restaurant boats a rich International buffet food selection, a la carte menu and culinary events from time to time.

Airport Connections
There are several options to reach Shangri-La Hotel, Beihai. Guests can choose between hotel limousine pick-up and taxi.
Taxis
Taxis in Beihai are cheap and plentiful, and always on the lookout for customers. Taxis are available at the hotel or can be easily hailed from the street.The minimum fare is RMB 5 (USD 6), which covers the first 2 kilometres of a trip. Taxi operators like Xiali and Qiya charge RMB 5 for the first 2 kilometres and RMB 1.40 for every subsequent kilometre.
Buses
Express buses connect Beihai with Dongxing, Guongzhou, Guilin, Liuzhou, Naning and other cities.
Trains
Trains offer an efficient, scenic way of travelling within China, and link most parts of the country with reliable service.You may travel in one of four classes: Soft Seat or Soft Sleeper with air-conditioning; and the Hard Seat or Hard Sleeper.The Beihai / Nanning Trains depart Beihai at 9:24am and 11:50am daily and arrive in Nanning three hours later.
Car Hire
You can hire a car with a driver who is familiar with Beihai’s roads, ensuring you have a safe and comfortable ride to your destination.
Boat
The International Ferry Terminal serves Haikou on Hainan and the nearby island of Weizhou. The boat to Haikou leaves Beihai at 6pm. Boats to Weizhou island leave Beihai at 8:30am, 11:15am and 4pm.
