For a spot of tranquility, partake in the making a Balinese Boreh, a culture of centuries-old herbal medicine that is based on a healing recipe of herbs and exotic spices. To wrap up the day, join the team around the campfire in the evening to witness a Sandikala Ritual, a sunset offering of gratitude of abundant blessings received throughout the day. Or go on an adventure through the back roads of the rurual Keliki Village and cruise through pristine rice paddy fields whilst getting to know the culture and daily musings of a Balinese village.
Food is an integral part of any adventure and be ready to excite the palate with unexpected twists to traditional flavours, influenced by the jungle and local heritage. Named in honour of Danish spice trader Mads Johansen Lange, Capella Ubud's dining room serves up seasonal dishes inspired by the historical spice trail that uses locally-farmed ingredients. No camp is ever complete without a good barbecue and Api Jiwa is where an initimate and authetic Asian barbecue awaits.
