Carved out of a large limestone outcrop, the Batu Caves are a popular tourist attraction and important place of worship just outside Malaysia. Once a point of excavation for Chinese settlers in search of guano to use as vegetable fertiliser, the caves become a significant site in 1890, when Pillai installed the statue of Sri Murugan Swami in the Temple Cave. Shortly thereafter, the Thaipusam Festival was celebrated at Batu Caves – a tradition that continues to this very day.

Combining a nature conservation park and zoo, Farm in The City features family-friendly attractions mirroring the settings of a traditional Malaysian village. The farm is home to a fruit orchard and animals including birds, reptiles, monkeys, rabbits, prairie dogs and fennec foxes. The animals are free-roaming in spacious enclosures resembling their natural habitat and visitors are free to pet them.

A factory outlet shopping mall located six kilometres from KLIA and klia2, Mitsui Outlet Park offers a myriad of upper-middle to high-end off-season brands and products at attractive prices. Also featured is a Japanese specialty store, Japan Avenue, which introduces Japanese art, culture, music and culinary delights.

Kuala Lumpur Upsidedown House
This latest concept with furnishings placed upside down is located at the KL Tower. It is said to be the tallest upside down house in the country, and just like a real house, it has bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathrooms. So if you're into gimmicky photos, the upside down house should be your next photo-op venue.
If you love nature, this is the place where the flora and fauna thrive. This sanctuary is filled with some 213 species of residential and migratory birds, 26 species of mammals, including four Nile hippos, 142 aquatic plants and animals and 220 types of terrestrial plants and herbs. Recreational activities include cycling, jungle trails, boating and fishing.
Kampong Bharu Cultural Guided Walk
This cultural walk guides you on a discovery of the Malay heritage in Kuala Lumpur. It is a free two and a half hour walking tour covering interesting attractions including the Kelab Sultan Sulaiman, Master Mat's House, Masjid Jamek Kampong Bharu and Kelab Sultan Suleiman Gallery. The walk is available every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Lazat Malaysian Cooking School specialises in teaching Malaysian home-cooked dishes to interested locals and tourists. Participants will be guided to a local market to obtain their ingredients before immersing themselves in an interactive and fun-filled cooking experience.
Beryl's Chocolate Kingdom
