Surroundings

1. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located in the south of wulingyuan scenic area, with a total area of 481,000 square meters. 
The national forest park was approved by the national planning commission in 1982 as the first national forest park in China. The wulingyuan scenic area, which is composed of soxiyu, tianzi mountain and yangjiazhai scenic spot, was designated by the state council as the key scenic spot of the country in 1988. In 1992 UNESCO inscribed it on the world heritage list. Also, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park provided amazing scenes for the movie – Avatar.

2. Tianmen Mountain locates 3km away from Zhangjiajie city (about 30 km away from hotel).
As the typical karst mountain plateau landform, convex knife striking cliffs upright at 200 meters area to more than 1500 meters. The top of mountain is flat, covered with thick forest and surrounded with cliffs. There is a peculiar huge cave named Tianmen cave which is called as “Soul of Wulingyuan”, and can be observed its uniqueness by taking the cableway.

3. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon scenic spot is located in cili county, zhangjiajie city, 15 kilometers away from wulingyuan scenic spot.
The waterfall in the grand canyon is everywhere, and all the way around. The valley is lush, the air is fresh, cool and comfortable, and a mist fills the stream, as if it had become to the world of paradise.

4. Huanglong Cave is one of the characteristics of zhangjiajie.
The representative of karst cave geomorphology. The geomorphic form is mysterious and strange, and its interior landscape is fascinating, such as cave maze, curling stalactite, and exquisite crystal clear dripping stones in different forms, etc.

5. Baofeng Lake is located 30km from the city of zhangjiajie (about 3 km from the hotel).
Along with the surrounded mountains, it creates colorful and attractive views, which is why Baofeng Lake has been named as one of China's top ten leisure lakes

6. Mei Li Xiang Xi Grand Theater is located in the scenic area of wulingyuan.
